With a delightful blend of pear-infused gin, zesty lemon, and the effervescence of soda water, this concoction promises to elevate your holiday celebrations to new heights.
The Pear Gin Fizz is a testament to the artistry of mixology, blending seasonal charm with classic elegance. With each sip, you'll experience the delightful interplay of flavors, from the natural sweetness of pear-infused gin to the invigorating citrus notes of fresh lemon, all harmonized by a gentle hint of sweetness from the simple syrup. If you choose to include the optional egg white, the result is a frothy texture that adds an extra layer of indulgence to this already exquisite cocktail.
How to Make Pear Gin Fizz
Crafting the Pear Gin Fizz is a culinary journey in itself. To start, you'll need to prepare pear-infused gin, infusing the essence of ripe pears into our favorite gin - Brighton Gin. The result is a base that adds a unique and subtle fruity note to your cocktail. Once your pear-infused gin is ready, you're just a few steps away from savoring this exquisite creation.
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of your pear-infused gin with 1 oz of fresh lemon juice, and sweeten the mix with 1/2 oz of simple syrup (adjust the sweetness to your preference). For an extra touch of indulgence, you can add an egg white, which will give your Pear Gin Fizz a luxurious frothiness. Shake the ingredients vigorously with ice until well chilled.
Strain the mixture into a highball or Collins glass filled with ice, and top it off with soda water. Give it a gentle stir to blend the flavors harmoniously. To finish, garnish your cocktail with a pear slice or twist, adding an elegant visual flair to your already stunning creation.
The Pear Gin Fizz isn't just a drink; it's a celebration of craftsmanship and taste, making it the ideal choice to grace your holiday gatherings or to savor as a well-deserved treat during the festive season. Join us on our '12 Days of Cocktails' journey as we continue to unveil remarkable libations that will leave you craving more.
Cheers to the Pear Gin Fizz and the magic of the holidays!!
Brighton Gin
For this recipe we recommend using Brighton Gin. Gleaming and transparent in the glass, this gin exudes delicate juniper notes complemented by enduring traces of orange, rendering it a smooth and welcoming choice.
This gin possesses a subdued and contemplative character, and thanks to its mildness, Brighton Gin is equally delightful when sipped neat, poured over ice, and garnished with a slice of orange. Among its botanicals are lime, milk thistle, and locally sourced coriander seeds. Furthermore, it proudly boasts a 100% vegan and gluten-free composition!
