Today, we're not only bringing you delicious cocktail recipes perfect for Super Bowl Sunday, but we're also shining a spotlight on the importance of cultural sensitivity and diversity within the alcohol industry. So, grab your shakers and let's dive in!

Addressing Cultural Sensitivity

Before we delve into the recipes, let's address something important. As we celebrate the Kansas City team making it to the big game, we want to do so in a way that respects and acknowledges cultural sensitivity. We feel that the Kansas City team uses wording and imagery that is culturally insensitive and inappropriate.

That's why we've renamed one of the cocktails from "Arrowhead Red Rush" to "Kansas City Red Rush." We understand that certain terms can be hurtful or disrespectful, and as advocates for diversity, we believe it's crucial to be mindful of the language we, as a society, use.

Super Bowl Cocktail Creations

We're bringing you two irresistible cocktail recipes that are sure to elevate your Super Bowl Sunday experience. Each cocktail is carefully crafted to bring a burst of flavor and a touch of sophistication to your game day festivities.

The KC Red Rush combines the bold flavors of Milam and Greene Rye whiskey with the tartness of fresh lemon juice and the sweetness of grenadine syrup. Finished with a splash of club soda and a sprinkle of smoked paprika, this cocktail is as dynamic as the team it's named after.

San Francisco Gold Rusher

Transport yourself to the sunny streets of San Francisco with the SF Gold Rusher. This invigorating cocktail features the rich and complex notes of Brough Brothers Bourbon, complemented by the herbal undertones of Fernet-Branca and the zesty kick of freshly squeezed lemon juice. With a hint of ginger and a touch of honey, this cocktail is a golden treasure worthy of any Super Bowl celebration.

Celebrating Diversity in the Alcohol Industry

Diversity in the alcohol industry is something we're passionate about, which is why we've chosen to feature the following two brands in these cocktails:

Milam and Greene Rye Whiskey

Milam and Greene is not only known for its exceptional quality but is also proudly woman-owned and LGBTQ-owned. Milam & Greene is a distillery located in the Texas Hill Country that was founded by Marsha Milam, Heather Greene and Marlene Holmes. Their commitment to inclusivity shines through in every sip, making them the perfect choice for any gathering.

Brough Brothers Bourbon

Brough Brothers Bourbon, founded by Victor, Chris, and Bryson Yarbrough, is the first and only Black-owned distillery in the state of Kentucky. Their dedication to crafting exceptional bourbon while breaking barriers in the industry is truly inspiring, making them the ideal addition to any cocktail.

So, whether you're rooting for Kansas City, San Francisco, or just in it for the commercials, let's raise a glass to diversity, inclusivity, and a Super Bowl Sunday filled with delicious cocktails and good company. Cheers to a game well-played and a brighter, more inclusive future in the alcohol industry!
